The Ruđer Bošković Institute (RBI) serves as a strong partner in RESKILLSPAN, bringing Croatia’s premier research capabilities to this European initiative. As the country’s leading multidisciplinary research institution, with over 800 research professionals and 80 laboratories, RBI makes significant contributions to research excellence, impact assessment, and science communication.
Within the project, RBI leads crucial policy feedback activities in Work Package 1, coordinating international consultation workshops that bring together university leaders, policymakers, training providers, and industry representatives. These collaborative sessions aim to develop comprehensive policy recommendations for enhancing the European Research and Innovation (R&I) system and improving support mechanisms for researchers across Europe.
The RBI also contributes its substantial pool of over 550 researchers to pilot testing and validation activities, ensuring that RESKILLSPAN’s innovative training modules and mentorship schemes are thoroughly tested across diverse research contexts. Additionally, the Institute leverages its strong expertise in science communication, developed through its active Public Relations Office and numerous outreach initiatives, to support the project’s emphasis on enhancing researchers’ ability to communicate their work effectively to public audiences, ultimately bridging the gap between scientific research and societal impact.
